I’ve only damned myself.
I’m sorry everyone. I finally buckled under the pressure and went out and bought World of Warcraft.
I guess… I guess this is goodbye.

Don’t worry man, you’ll be back if you just keep in mind when you get frustrated beyond all hell at getting ganked then getting killed by your current quest that you could be playing Zelda.
Or, of course, Zelda could actually come out.

Zelda is so cool.

Welcome to WoW. It’s like digital crack.
Piece of advice? Don’t get a crafting profession. You’ll thank me when you hit level 40.

NOOOOOOO! Don’t give in to the evil! The evil!!!

Oh, I beg to differ. Crafting professions are very useful, and it’s hard to go past engineering.
What you do need, though, is a gathering profession. I found Herbalism most profitable, not least because around level 15 or so you start getting access to Swiftthistle, which rogues pay dearly for, and soon after you get access to Kingsblood, which I think warriors need tons of. You can make some real money finding out which herbs are overpriced on the auction house and putting up a stack of 20 at a time.
If you take enchantment, you’ll want to sell your enchantments for several gold. It sounds expensive, but the skill uses magic armour and weapons for something that can’t be sold on the auction house, so it’s a hard way to make money.

^ That. Sounded. Unbelieveably. Nerdy.
Which means my original argument stands: Zelda is so cooler.
*pretentious laugh*

So…basically you’re saying that knowing what a Hylian is, somehow is less nerdy than knowing what Swiftthistle is?
(Rogues rule!)

I’m making the “loser” gesture right now, Phil.

I wrote “fuck you, Phil” on my palm, and THEN made the “loser” gesture.

Let’s face it, guys. If you play games at all, you’ve pretty much got a first-class seat on the train to Dorksville.

Amen.
Not to mention people who actually read a blog on webcomics (Half of whom have a webcomic themselves)
Hail, Geekdom.
(As for the post…nothing says COMMENT ON THIS more than a WoW blog. It’s more certain than death OR taxes)

good-bye, you brave little toaster.
