Fuck you, eBay.
I should have known, I suppose. eBay loves to fuck me over. Well, I suppose I can’t take it too personally, I’m sure they very much enjoy fucking everyone over.
Yet again, their Red Tape nonsense has taken the auction off their list. On two counts:
1) A Charity Outside of MissionFish: eBay will deal exclusively with MissionFish charities. You cannot make mention of other charities. My last experience on this front was for Hurricane Relief, and they wouldn’t let me do the auction unless it was with MissionFish. After about three failed attempts to even work within their system, I had to just call it off. My impression was, if you want to auction for charity, and the charity is a part of MissionFish, you have to do it with MissionFish. Apparently, since Child’s Play isn’t even in MissionFish, it seems you can’t do any charity unless it is with MissionFish, and only with them. So eBay struck on that count.
2) Links to an Outside Website: eBay prevents against promotional scams. You can only put in links to things that enhance the description of the item. I put links in to the main page, and selected articles I have written, so the prospect will know what they’re getting. I don’t exatly see what the problem was here, and I could potentially argue the fact. But since count #1 is unavoidable, that’s it.
I don’t know what to do, really. If you had the highest bid at the conclusion of the auction, that $78 bid (unless there was a higher bid since last I saw, then by all means say so), we will consider you the winner. If you are that person, please e-mail me. The address is glitchphil at gee mail dot com. We will work this out, Child’s Play will get your money, and you will get your custom essay.
Fucking eBay.

You know the crap from ebay…….
eBay Australia Customer Support wrote:
Hello,
Thanks for writing in. I’m Cherie.
First of all, I would like to apologize for the delay in our response to
your email. Your concerns are important to me and I appreciate the
opportunity to assist you at this time.
Please note that the Unpaid Item infraction you received for this
transaction has been removed from your account because this was your
first appeal of the Unpaid Item Policy.
I will continue to investigate the seller and take appropriate action
upon the completion of my investigation. Unfortunately, due to privacy
concerns, I cannot provide you with any details regarding this
investigation or the actions taken. Please rest assured that I will take
appropriate action.
Unfortunately, eBay doesn’t actually handle the merchandise that is
offered for trading. Without first hand knowledge of the item, we are
unable to guarantee the accuracy of the listing information.
We encourage members who are interested in bidding on an item to email
the seller for additional information. Be sure to ask the seller
specific questions regarding age, authenticity and condition of the item
before bidding. In the unlikelihood that the seller doesn’t respond, you
may want to reconsider your bidding decision.
Oh bullshit, bullshit, bullshit……….
Dear Cherie.
In response to your email….
What a lie.
The unpaid item infraction shouldn’t have been removed because it was my first appeal…..
It should be removed cause the seller was selling second hand fans, as new ones….
That is not only a conjob, it’s illegal.
I had previously asked you guys to act upon this 2 X, before this fellow made an unpaid items dispute, and both times you did absolutely NOTHING about it….
I have been building and running computer systems for over 20 years - in the field of IT., and it was after I bought the fans I went, “Hang on a second, there is something not right here… - and I lifted the image of the fans and zoomed in a little on them and they have dust on the leading edges of the fans and in some of the recess’s - consistant with picking up dust while running”.
I told you guys, I sent you the images he had put on his site and you guys did nothing…..
So it’s not like I have to come crawling for forgiveness or sucking up, “Oh please don’t close my account”…..
And the EBAY administration already has a bad enough reputation for creaming profits.. by trampling the buyers and conding the conduct of rotten sellers - who have hundreds of complaints against them for not delivering the goods etc., because sellers make the money, and despite the fairyland stories about “the ebay community”, - money is all the Ebay management are interested in; and the customer supports reputation is well earned as being bloody awful - and worse…
So you may as well save your automated and manufactured response for those who are gullible enough to swallow it….
Because I have as much respect for the management and administration of ebay as I do for that scumbag junkie George Bush and his sleazebag toady - John Howard.
There are more and more competitors in the market place, and even if my account was closed, after all the really, really, really, bad and indifferent service from the Ebay management and customer service deparments, I am more than happy enough to go elsewhere.
Your failure to act upon the complaint in a timely fashion has cost me time and effort to keep my account open and to clear up my name in relation to a dishonest seller, that I should not have had to expend.
The greed, the apathy, the indifference, the lazyness, the manufactured replies, bouncing customers around - backwards and forwards for ever and ever…….
Ebay’s management and staff’s attitude to customers is so bad - and the stadard of service is so bad, that I really I don’t care anymore.
Shane.

To stop ebay - screw them - just give them the bad reputation they deserve so people don’t want to use it anymore.
I’m sure you know how! You’ve had it done to you.
0 rated accounts? winning at the last minute, then no response?

Hello.
The strange thing is, that they can get away with selling guns, drugs, knifes, and many other supposedly prohibited Items, but nobody does do anything about it ,
Thousands of people must get ripped off by ebay and their own sellers .
How is it possible that they can get away with this? It would be different matter altogether if it were a market stall or corner shop selling these prohibited goods. They’d be closed down in a flash!
I’m curious to know how many other people have had similar experiences?

For all of you out their who are charity and won’t be admitted to Mission Fish, ther’s a new kid on the block called “Ycare”. It’s new and still empty, and it’s up to you to fill with life.
We just started with a prestigios project (see press release below) and welcome anybody who wants to do any good on this planet - no matter how big or how small.
German auction-site “Ycare” joins World Trade Center Memorial fundraising campaign
The World Trade Center Memorial will be the most costly memorial built to date. The price tag now stands at $740 million. A national advertising campaign has just been launched and, expanding its ambitious fundraising campaign on an international basis, the Foundation has now been joined by “Ycare”, a German online auction-site. The founder of this new philanthropic website, Daniel Vinovitsch, contacted the Memorial Foundation after visiting Ground Zero last year from Germany. He demonstrated how Ycare works and could be put to use in aid of the Memorial Foundation. The result – two Ycare fundraising pages, one in English and one in German, just went online.
“Standing at Ground Zero last year”, says Daniel Vinovitsch, the founder of Ycare, “ I was overwhelmed by mixed emotions of grief and anger. Once again I envisioned the collapse of the Twin Towers, and, once again, I felt an immense deep sorrow in my heart and anger about this unthinkable attack.
”It was here that I learned more about the Memorial Foundation, and I wondered how I could possibly contribute to the memorial. On returning to Germany, where I have been living as a US citizen for the last 40 years, it crossed my mind that Ycare, a website developed by me and a small team, was an ideal platform to advertise the Memorial Foundation’s cause by inviting the global community to participate in building the Memorial.”
Ycare is an online auction-site similar to eBay. Its mission, however, is to offer not-for-profit and grass-root organizations new opportunities for fundraising while at the same time promoting and advertise their charitable causes. These organizations can showcase their projects by creating their own fundraising pages on Ycare for free. Projects can range from fundraising for the PTA, for medical research, for the homeless, or for a foundation such as the World Trade Memorial Foundation. It doesn’t matter how big or how small a project is. Projects are funded either through online auctions of goods or direct cash donations.
What makes Ycare special is that people who put things up for auction choose themselves how much of the proceeds from a sale they will donate to the project of their choice and how much they will keep for themselves. Simply put, Ycare’s motto is „Give a little- keep a little“. Ycare charges a 4% auction fee for a successful sale but only on the portion of the proceeds that is not donated to a project. Sellers at Ycare can set minimum sales prices and there are no placement fees or any additional fees. If all the proceeds from a sale are donated to a charitable cause, there are no auction fees at all.
“We are very proud, that the Memorial Foundation has accepted our offer to use Ycare for their fundraising campaign. We are also very confident that many in the global community who care deeply about 9/11 will participate, through their donations, in getting the World Trade Center Memorial built. One day, on a visit to New York, they will be able to say: ´I helped build the Memorial!´”

Fuck Ebay, they simply don’t care about peope. thius toad VCobb boss man they have there has increased auction amounts and other fees to outrageous amounts in what he calls ‘balancing out the playing field’. Balancing out the field? Ebay made over a BILLION sollars last year, like they really need to think about screwing over people for more money. Screw them, lets start the ACTIVE BOYCOTT of ebay. Ebay xcusotmer servic eis an oxymoron, and ebay can go fuck themselves. They simply don’t care. End of the story.

For those of you who aren’t getting the big picture here, eBay is just a smaller version of our profit-driven government. They want to do the same thing Bush is doing to the country; get rid of the middle class! eBay wants to get rid of all of us little guys and acquire more of the big warehouse sellers. More & more they’re tailoring their rules & regulations to protect the ones who generate the most money for them. Now, once they’ve ran off all of us little guys, the IRS is going to be looking for their share. I’ve gotten several e-mails from ebay crying about how the big bad government is coming after MY dollars through my ebay sales. Simple solution, I won’t sell on ebay anymore and as a matter of fact I’ll be out there lobbying to get them taxed! Fuck me? No, FUCK YOU!

Ebay can go screw themselves!
In the last 2 months, I’ve seen my feedback AMOUNT (not score) go down more than 4 times! When I contacted ebay customer services, they first fobbed me off with an email link to contact someone in their ‘Feedback’ department. I got a reply 4 days later, basically telling me that I must have been seeing things! When the same thing happened just one month later, they did the same thing, sending me the same regurgitated reply. Basically I was wrong and everyone else was right. Also got the same bullshit replies for complaints I made against two buyers who made unwarranted comments about me - ebay failed to see that the comments were not even related to my item!! Then, just yesterday, I contacted ebay Live because my feedback amount had been reduced AGAIN. The moron typing back to me started giving me the usual bullshit. This time I just said “Forget it, obviously ebay doesn’t give a fuck and neither do you. Ebay can go fuck themselves, I’m off to bidville.com and others!”
Add to this the fact that their fees keep going up and up, making it harder for smaller sellers to make any money, ebay is just getting greedier and greedier by the day. Well they can shove it up their ass!
SCREW EBAY and SCREW PAYPAL!!
